Abstract Supplier selection is a strategic activity, especially if this supplier will provide the critical itemand/or will be used in long time period. A lot of factors need to be considered in supplier selection.
PT.Olex Cables Indonesia (Olexindo) is one of companies within Olex Group which part of Pacific DunlopLimited Australia, producing many kinds of copper cable. For supplier selection, PT. Olexindo has aweakness in decision making because only using price offered and quality of raw material subjectively.Therefore, this study aims to do supplier selection more objectively with more comprehensiveconsideration.
First step, in order to represent the real condition we start with identifying criteria, subcriteria, and alternatives for determining the supplier. There are 5 criteria, 11 sub criteria, and 4alternatives that will be used in supplier selection for Copper Rod raw material. The second step isdetermining the method for supplier selection. From identification, there is interdependency between subcriteria. Therefore, the right method to be used for determining supplier selection priority is AnalyticNetwork Process (ANP method). With ANP method, supplier priority choosen for main raw materialCopper Rod is PT. Tembaga Mulia Semanan having weight 0.098725 as the main priority.
Secondly, PTSumi Indo Kabel having weight 0.057509. The third is Daewoo Internasional having weight 0.041970,and the last one is Hyundai Corporation having weightt 0.034577.
